REME Facilities Bavaria

The REME Facilities in Bavaria consist of the REME Hotel and the REME Adventurous Training Centre (ATC). The facilities offer exceptional value for money and are situated in one of the most beautiful regions of Southern Germany.

THE REME HOTEL - BERGHOF URBAN

Situated in the town of Wertach in the beautiful Allgäu region of Bavaria and owned outright by the Corps, the REME Hotel offers fantastic value for money accommodation for both serving (including Territorial Army ) and retired members of the Corps and their immediate families.

In addition, any serving soldier, or UKBC ID card holders, working for the benefit of the Army in British Army (Germany) are entitled to use the facilities on a fill-up basis.

The hotel operates on a fully tax-paid basis and is open for most of the year, closing only for short periods in April, May, November and December for staff leave and essential maintenance.

THE REME ADVENTUROUS TRAINING CENTRE (ATC)

Nestling high in the hillside of the picturesque hamlet of Gunzesried-Säge, the ATC is rented privately by Equipment Support Branch, 1 (UK) Armoured Division. Non-REME units are encouraged to use the facility on a fill-up basis. For latest availability and contact details please see our Booking and Contact pages.
Due to the tax-free status of the facility, only those personnel entitled to tax-free concessions, posted to British Army (Germany) or on officially authorised exercise are able to use the ATC. The facility is open to Adventurous Training groups for the majority of the year however for 6 weeks of the year, it is opened to families for the FAMSUM and FAMSKI packages.

This great facility is being offered with a 10% discount to all troops returning from operations regardless of cap badge, however, please be aware that the following weeks are restricted to REME personnel only: Christmas, New Year, February half term and Easter week.

Prices include continental breakfast. Charges shown are per person, per night, based upon two people sharing a double room/four people sharing a family room. An additional surcharge of 15% is applicable for individual bookings. Local Kurtax charges of approx €1.10(adult) / €0.70 (child) per day apply.
