REME Winter Sports Development Camps

Exercise SUPREME GLACIER is the annual REME Alpine Skiing and Snowboard Training Camp being held in Stubai, Austria, 15 Nov to 12 Dec 09. The aim of the Exercise is to provide race training for all ability levels with a view to preparing teams to take part in Divisional and Army Competitions. The Exercise is run in 1 week blocks with units attending for 1 or 2 weeks. Where sufficient interest is shown a British Association of Snow Sports Instructors Course will run concurrently for those aspiring to be Alpine or Snowboard Instructors (costs borne by those attending).

Exercise SUPREME TIGER, the REME Nordic Biathlon Race Development Camp, will be run in Sjusjoen, North of Lillehammer in Norway, 17 Nov to 12 Dec 09. The emphasis is on Biathlon and Cross Country Ski racing with the aim of the Exercise being to race train REME teams and individuals for Divisional and Army level Nordic and Biathlon competitions, with a view to developing REME skiers for the GB National Development Squad.
